(Written by Susanna and Lauren )
For over a year, we wanted to go to the Vision Forum Father and Daughter Retreat with Daddy, Bethany, and Hannah. In order to do that, we did four fundraisers last fall: flower bulbs (from Dutch Mill Bulbs), home made candies, Confederate Candles, and our family’s CDs.
Thank you, to all who supported us (and those who happened to be here on baking day and volunteered to help with the project ). It was well worth all the work and time. We came away from the weekend very encouraged, and we highly recommend it to all of you fathers and daughters. (Go to www.visionforum.com to sign up for 2013!)
Here are some pictures of the whole process.
March 23-25, 2012 – at the Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, GA
Again, we HIGHLY encourage all of you Fathers and Daughters to go to the retreat in 2013!! You will come away encouraged and refreshed.
What sweet pictures! Praise the Lord for blessing all your efforts to get together needed funds for the trip :=). I remember when the three of us girls went with our Daddy back in 2007 (That was one of the times we got to know the Wilkes girls a little better, because they were there as well ;-)!!!). I’m so glad you four got to go!!! It looks like you made wonderful memories to cherish in the years to come. Praise God for father-daughter relationships!
Thank you Susanna and Lauren for sharing this post. The pictures are so lovely and it looks like you had a great time with your Dad. God has blessed you with a wonderful father!
Yay! I’m glad you guys were able to do it!! Thank you for posting, Lauren & Susanna! You all did great with this post!! Is this your first one!!?? 😉
Great pictures! It looks like y’all had a wonderful trip and what wonderful memories you have of this special time. Father/Daughter time – love it!
What a precious post! I’m so glad you ladies had this wonderful opportunity. It looks like y’all really had a great time. Your Dad seems to have really enjoyed it too!!! 🙂 Who took all the great pictures… If Jessi wasn’t there?
Praise the Lord – sounds like an uplifting, precious, and important bonding time with your Dad! What encouraged us greatly about the whole trip was the diligent effort that went in to raising the funds so you could bless your younger sisters with a special trip that they will remember forever. Those loving investments of time and energy are not done in vain but will rather reap rewards both now and into eternity. God bless you all –
