Sometimes the Lord asks us to give up something, either by showing it to be sin or by simply making it off-limits to us personally. Whenever He does that, even though the initial letting go can be quite painful, when we choose to submit with trusting confidence in His goodness, He truly sets us free… free from just one more aspect of this temporal world, free to seek Him more devotedly, free from self, free to embrace Christ in all His fulness. So let us let go of our chains, from which Christ is seeking to set us free — and rise up to follow Him to a higher plain!
Great pictures, Jessi! 🙂
We are letting go of our plans for the beginning of the semester and letting God do the planning. All our efforts to make an impact on the campus this first week of classes have been met by obstacles we could not overcome. While not a sin or ‘off-limits’, we have rested in His higher ways, believing He knows how to show us how to reach the students with the Truth better than we do! It should prove to be an interesting semester; God is never boring! 🙂

I really like the pictorial analogy. Thanks for the reminder!
