For many years we have waited for our blueberry bushes to bear fruit, and at last, due to the unfailing goodness of the Lord and the experienced skill of Michael Staddon, the first deliciously fresh blueberry pie made it to the table.
Thank you, Michael!
Praise waiteth for thee, O God… Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God… Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly: thou settles the furrows thereof: thou makest it soft with showers: thou blessest the springing thereof. Thou crownest the year with thy goodness…
Psalm 65
How exciting! Bringing in fresh vegetables and fruits from the gardens and orchards is always SUCH a joy! Praise the Lord for His blessings :-). Praying for many more prosperous years ahead.
That picture makes me hungry! 😀
Not only does that picture make me hungry, but also reminds me of how much help Michael has been to me as well.
Thanks Michael for your gardening expertise!
That pie looks delicious! Praise the Lord for home grown food (and for good friends willing to help!).
My does that look scrumptious! Isn’t it sweet to have your labor and patience and faith rewarded! How special it is to be thanked in this way, and I too am grateful to the Lord for the things he does that we cannot do, as Psalm 65 puts it so well. To give further honor where honor is due, I must say I distinctly remember a whole crew of people working outside on that cold winter afternoon some time around New Year’s in 2010… not to mention the many jobs, like mulching, that have been done since then. As the care continues, this will be just the beginning of many more rewards to come!
(P.S. Keep them picked: don’t let a bird find anything tasty down there!)
Looks delicious AND nutritious! 🙂
